Dell Diminsion 4600 will not stay in standby

I have a Dell Dimension 4600 runing XP Pro SP3. When I shutdown and
choose Standby the system shutsdown and one to two seconds later
restarts. Any idea why it does not go into standby and stay there would
be appreciated.

I would make sure that WOL (Wake on LAN) is not enabled in the Device
Manager for the NIC. Check the Power or Advanced options and try disabling
anything related to WOL.

I had a D3000 that did the same thing when I tried to enable WOL. I finally
gave up and just disabled it.
