I have this computer the ME operating system malfunctioned, I formatted
the hard drive and could not install Win XP, anyone have an answer to
this. DO I need Dell software to do this,

I am so frustrated with this Dell computer.

Please help us to help you. What does "could not install Win XP" mean? What
happens when you try? If you get an error message, please quote it verbatim.

Also please describe your hardware configuration,. What processor do you
have, how much RAM, how big a hard drive?
