I don't know if this is an Exchange Server Question or not...but a customer
of ours is trying to email us and his email is getting refused. Here is the
return email he is getting...any ideas? Thanks

This is what error 5.7.1 says:

Permissions problem. For some reason the sender is not allowed to email
this account. Perhaps an anonymous user is trying to send mail to a
distribution list.
Check SMTP Virtual Server Access Tab. Try checking this box: Allow
computers which successfully authenticate to relay
User may have a manually created email address that does not match a System
Policy.

So my first question is, is the sender trying to email an internal
distribution list?

To answer your question, no this is being sent to one individual in our
company not to a distribution group.

We don't have any delivery restrictions on our exchange server...and I
looked in message tracking, and it does not show that the exchange server
ever received it.

When you explained the following:

Check SMTP Virtual Server Access Tab. Try checking this box: Allow
computers which successfully authenticate to relay User may have a manually
created email address that does not match a System Policy.

I don't know where to look for this. Sorry, I'm a novice can you give me
step by step instructions.

Thanks

I found this and it is checked..so disregard my previous note.
