delivery receipt

Hi,

For no apparent reason, my Outlook 2003 stop giving delivery receipts for
outgoing emails using POP3 and SMTP email account.

Are there any known causes for this issue?

I've contacted MSN technical support for this paid POP3 email account (now
is live.com) and they are investigating possible causes.

But I was wondering if this could be Outlook's problem.

Thanks for any tips.

Hi,

Thanks and it has been checked and unchecked for many times, but problem
still persists.

Are there any known updates or registry files corruptions or anything that
may cause this malfunctions.

One more question, is it more mail-server- or Outlook-related issue?

Just wish to isolate the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Delivery receipts are the province of the mail server - Outlook has no control over whether one is sent or not. Read receipts are completely controllable by Outlook.

Update...

The great MSN (part of the great company) decided to remove this function
after migrating to live.com without informing its "paying" customers.

After talking with several technical supports, finally there is one knows
why.

Good - another service/product that I will cancel from this mighty company.

Thanks for those helped.
