Deleting temp files

Hello:

I know this question has been asked before but I'm somewhat new. Other than
using disk clean-up to delete temp files, is there one best way to manually
delete these files? There are a multitude of ways: Start>run & type in
%temp% in the dialog box, start>search & type in *.tmp in files/folders. You
can also type *.tmp,*.chk into search to delete temp files. Its
mind-boggling.

Also, Dell suggested typing in *.tmp in search but only delete the temp
files but not the folders. How do you delete the temp files but leave the
windows directory or folder alone?

Sincerely,

John

Try something here on this page:

http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/system/fwdiskclean.html

They're all free and if they're adware (I didn't see any on that page)
they'd be flagged. I've also never downloaded a single file from them that
was malware of any type. No spyware, no problems with them as they're pretty
good about maintaining a decent server with good descriptions and quality
software.
