Lanwench is absolutely correct. Your autocomplete (nk2) file is a hidden
file bearing the same name as your Outlook profile. When you begin typing a
name, you can scroll down to the unwanted name and while highlighted, press
the delete key. The NK2 file can store up to 1,000 names, limited by MS
Outlook.
If you're interested in reviewing the entire contents of this file, you can
download a demo utility that we wrote. It's called Owtlook and can be found
at
www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. The purchased version of the software
will enable you to add, remove, and export your records. Example, you can
export the autocomplete records, then import them into a Contact Folder
(after you've removed your unwanted entries of course).
Many in these newsgroups recommend deleting the entire NK2 file. They just
don't realize that many people have several hundred contact records in the
file and have no other repository for the data. Deleting the entire file is
akin to throwing out the baby with the bath water.
We also have a workaround, for taking a new, clean and empty NK2
(autocomplete) file and filling it with contact records for fast efficient
e-mailing. If you're interested you can contact me through the web address
above.
Good luck,
Randy
