I want to delete the Marquee screen saver do to
inappropriate messages being left.
Thanks so much
Nancy

Click on Start/Control Panel/Display/Screen Savers and select NONE (or
something else).

Thanks. I didn't make myself clear. I need to permanently
delte it so non one can use it.

It's in C:\WINNT\System32.....as SSMARQUE.SCR which is probably a hidden
file, so the first thing you have to do is to get the system to SHOW HIDDEN
FILES. Click on Start, Right Click, click on Properties, click on
Customize/Advanced and click Show Hidden Files.

Here is a snip of a fix for this that someone posted back
in July. I searched in Google groups to find info on screen
savers.

Screensavers installed by Windows XP are protected and have
copies in the C:\Windows\system32\dllcache folder, which
will be copied back when you reboot. To get rid of certain
Windows XP screen savers, delete the .scr file from the
C:\Windows\system32\dllcache folder first, and when you get
the dialog box asking if you're sure that you want to
delete a Windows System file, click the Yes button, and
then delete that same .scr file the C:\Windows\system32 folder.

Thanks-but it just comes back
