How can I delete read-only files from my CD-RW? I am
unable to uncheck the read-only box in properties, but am
able to select "share this folder" and set full control
in the permissions section. Thanks in advance!

CDs are only "read only". You can change permissions after
transferring the files back to a hard drive.

Are you using packet-writing software like InCD or DirectCD?

Normally you would need to use whatever program you burned the CDRW with to
make changes. Although I think it still checks the 'read-only' box for any
file burned on a CD (?)

Whether your files are recorded on a CD-R or CD-RW, they will
remain "read only" while stored on that media.
CD-ROM = Compact Disc-Read Only Memory.

The files are on a rewritable CD (CD/RW). thankx,

I'm going to take a guess that you're using Windows XP's natiuve CD-burning
capability and not some third party program like Roxio or Adaptec's Direct
CD? If that's the case then you're out of luck - WinXP's native capability
doesn't support rewriting (which includes delete). You'd need to use one
of those third-party drivers for RW capability.
