Deleting Problem

I have two empty folders on my desktop, when I try to
delete them, I get the following message:

Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or
disk.

Can anyone help me out?

Try right clicking and hit refresh...I've had it happen

Go to: Tools > Folder Options > View tab

Make sure that 'show hiddend files and folders' is selected
Make sure 'hide protect3ed operating system files' is
unchecked

This will verify that the folder is actually empty. If it
is empty, try pressing 'shift - delete' keys. This will
do a delete without trying to save into the 'trash bin';
if they are empty it will not matter.
