The previous post did not answer the question. I tried
booting up in safe mode in order to delete or rename some
of the files, and that was unsuccessful as well. I am in
the process of trying two command line utilities to figure
out what the sharing violations are for these files, but I
am still having trouble. It seems to be just files that
originated in my 'My Shared' folder. The files also seem
to be files that either have the .exe extension and/or
are .iso or .bin files with the .exe extension attached to
them. I continue to get a sharing violation and I cannot
either delete or rename. When the file is copied to
another hd, the violation seems to follow it. Symantec's
auto support initially detected two worms, but the
downloadable utilities found nothing of either. What is
going on, I am starting to pull hair?
