Deleting Locked-up documents from printer que

i have a document that i sent to a network printer and it has locked up the printer. i cannot delete it or get it out of the print que through cancel under the document options. it will not let other documents print through the system now. is there some other way to remove this from the print que, possibly in the task manager? i'm at a loss.

Try to turn off the printer and restart Print Spooler service (Start - > Settings -> Control Panel - > Administrative Tools - > Services -> Print Spooler).
