I had a problem with a corrupt user profile and copied
all the user file over to a new user account. I deleted
the old (corrupt) account but chose the option ot keep
the files just to make sure (windows creates a folder on
the desktop)

when i try to delete the (created) folder though, windows
says its a system folder needed to run and can't delet
it. How can i delete this?

Open a Command Prompt window and at the command prompt, enter CD DESKTOP (the prompt should be at Documents and Settings\<username> Then type in ATTRIB -S <foldername> This should remove the System attribute from the folder.
