Profile exists for deleted account

I have an account profile still listed under \Documents and Settings for an
account which I have deleted. No sign of the deleted account remains in
Computer Management, Windows Explorer (other than \Documents and Settings),
User Accounts, the Welcome screen, or even when using the 'net user' command.
I just want to appropriately remove everything associated with this profile.

If there is nothing you want in any of the user's folders, just delete
the profile.

Thankfully I just found the solution myself, by selecting My Computer's
Properties > Advanced > User Profiles > Settings. There was a profile listed
as AccountUnknown. However, as you suggested, would the integrity etc have
been just as safe by simply deleting the profile from within Windows Explorer?

AFAIK. Of course, I haven't seen your computer so I can't really give
you a definitive answer as to its integrity.
