deleting jpg file on CD Rom

I copied all the pictures from a computer I was replacing
onto a CD. There are a few pictures on the CD I would
like to delete, but the software tells me it cannot
delete the 'read only' files on the CD.

I attempted to remove the 'read only' attribute but it
would not work. Maybe I will try it in DOS, would that
work?

Depending on how rhe CD was 'closed' after you copied the files to it,
you may have to re-open it with the same CD writing program you wrote
to it with..

Once a file is on a CD-R you cannot erase it.
