deleting items in history folder

In documents and settings\user\local settings\history, . some of the items i
wish to delete in "My Computer" will not delete. .i receive the message,
"the specified path does not exist". . what's up with that??? . . how would
i provide the proper path??? Thanks for any help

Go to where the item is , right click , delete .
