'LO,

C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Recent AND C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Local
Settings\History

have shortcuts that are cleaned automatically but two days later . The shortcuts are an
unfortunate item so I want to delete the contents of these two folders on a reboot.

How ?

How to remove the trail ?

You clear the list by either clicking on the "clear list" button in
advanced settings in Customise Start menu or opening it in Windows
explorer and deleting all the shortcuts. there is no setting to clear
this out automatically. You may be able to write a batch file that you
can execute on shutdown....

C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\LocalSettings\History

this is an Internet Explorer function - change the settings in
IE-Tools-Internet Options
