Surely you mean Internet Explorer, and the History Folder? Please be less

Control panel> Internet Options>General Tab>*Clear History*> Click OK

Typically one would use Control Panel>IE Options>Delete files>delete all
off-line content>OK>OK out for *Temporary Internet Files*.

If you mean on an address bar search, then Start>settings>taskbar & start
menu>start menu programs tab> clear documents>OK out.
If you mean in a Search Engine dropdown box then Control panel>IE
