Deleting History

My friend and I are having a problem with deleting cookie, temp files and
history. Is anyone else having this problem? We both have a Compaq
computerwith windows xp. I was advised by my dsl carrier that this was a
problem microsoft. Can anyone help us.

Reboot
Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Click "Delete Cookies", click OK
Click "Delete files"
Check "Delete all offline...", click OK
Click "Clear History", click Yes
