Deleting footnotes

In a document with hundreds of footnotes, is there a quick way to delete them
all in a couple of steps rather than one by one?
 
Try this. In the Replace dialog, search for ^f (footnote reference mark).
Leave the "Replace with" box blank. Replace All. Deleting the footnote
reference marks in the document should delete the footnotes themselves.
