Deleting Fonts

Hi All,
I have fonts on my system (Win XP Home) that I will never in a
million years use. I was wondering if it would be safe to delete a lot of
these without messing something up? What fonts could I delete or what fonts
does Windows need as a minimum to run without something messing up?

If you open the font folder in control panel, the fonts that have a "Red A"
are system
