Deleting Files - Virus?

Hi, I believe I have a corrupt file in one of my folders. When I try to
navigate to this folder windows Explorer crashes with the following message
"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". Norton
crashes at a file inside this folder when I run a scan with the message
"Norton AntiVirus Scanner Module has encountered a problem and needs to
close". AVG Anti-Spyware also crashes at this folder with the message
"Something bad happened in the application". Please could you advise how I
can get to this file or folder to remove it.
Thanks.

All malware removal work needs to be done in Safe Mode. Here are general
malware removal steps:

Run CHKDSK; the file or folder may be damaged.

Thanks lads, I have now resolved the problem thanks to advise to use safe
mode and use of the command " rd /s path" to remove the folder.
