deleting emails from sent file

when we delete emails from the sent file it sends an email to the same person
who is deleting them in the first place, to their inbox stating that the
email was not read. So when she deleted 200 emails from her sent box, she
got 200 responses to her inbox saying those emails were ot read, even though
they were. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or set?

Thanks

What "sent file" would that be, since Outlook doesn't have anything called a
"sent file"?

That would be sent items.

Is the sender including himself either in Cc or Bcc? Is the sender
requesting a delivery or read receipt?
