Deleting Downloaded Program Files in Internet Options

I tried to remove the files listed in temporary
Downloaded Program files via "Disk Cleanup." That did
not delete them. I then deleted them individually by
clicking on them in the Internet Options screen. A
message appeared that it could not delete all part of
the file and i needed to finish deleting it in
add/remove. is there any risk in my deleting these
temporary downloads?

JR;
I don't see any danger or risk. If you did happen to delete something
important all you would have to do is download and install it again. You
can get software that will delete or clean these temporary caches for you.
I used to delete this stuff by 'hand', but it got to be a real hassle.
Windows temp files, temp internet files, Content IE5, cookies (unless you
like going to web sites where they say hi JR), etc can be deleted without
problems unless you are in the middle of installing software and have to
reboot (some installers use the temp files for installing the programs).
This stuff can fill up a five gallon bucket in a hurry. Some of this stuff
can even come back to haunt you. If you feel confident enough to delete
something after a warning comes up to tell you that it is a system folder
let me know and I will explain it.
If you would like to download software to do it for you, which I
recommend, because you can set it up to do it every time you boot up.Go to:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp2004/ and check it out. Works real well. I
recommend it. I use it all the time. Spyder is another program, but I don't
have any info handy right now. Hope this has been of some help.
