How/Where can I delete the background music that plays throughout the
powerpoint presentation?

Hi Azra

Go to the slide where the music starts and look for a sound icon - if you
find one, delete it. If you can't see it check off the slide for it. If it's
not there check in the slide transition taskpane/area and if there is a file
name in the 'sound' drop down change it to [no sound]. If it's not there the
file may have been created in 2007 and the sound icon image changed to
something else - I would use the custom animation taskpane to identify it
then.

If you need more details post back remembering to include your version.
