deleting AOL files

I have about 300 files, mostly small, which appear to be remnant AOL files
- they show up when I 'search' and enter 'AOL'. and I suspect them of
slowing down the computer. They don't go away when I uninstall AOL. I
would like to delete them, and then delete the rest of AOL, and then
reinstall. But I hesitate to delete them because I don't know what else may
be affected. The techs at AOL don't seem to be able to help. Can anyone
comment ? Any help will be apreciated.

Use Crap Cleaner's Issues feature. Get it at www.ccleaner.com.

The only way to get rid of anything AOL on a computer is to reformat. It (AOL) takes over your system and it is next to impossible to uninstall without reformatting.

Removing AOL - good, reinstalling AOL - not good.

A reinstall of AOL is not need now. all one needs is to set up
imap.aol.com within outlook express.
