When I attempt to delete one of my unused user accounts, the program becomes
non responsive. Has anyone run into this problem or have a work around to
remove the user account?

Christopher,

See if you can delete it from Safe Mode. Alternately, you can use the "NET"
command-line. For more information, type "NET USER /?" in Command Prompt.

Ramesh,

Oddly enough, when I entered safe mode the user I was looking to delete was
not there. But it is still present in my main user. Although I can still
enter the unwanted user from the Windows XP start page, but if I log out of
main user there is no option for the unwanted user.

Could I just delete the user files in explorer? I will also try "NET
command line.

Christopher,

IIRC, only administrator accounts show up by default in Safe Mode.

This is not a good idea IMHO. Deleting the user account is the preferred
method, which removes the corresponding SIDs from the registry as well.
