HELP! I tried to create a use account and have messed up everything! I have
all my favorites saved under Administrator and want to go back to that being
the only account. It won't let me delete the other account now.

You cannot delete the administrator account. And for getting the favorites
back in the new account you can follow the following steps.
Click on my computer--c drive--document&settings--administrator and copy the
favorites folder past it to the user account that you are using. And if it
give you problem of access denid than you have to take the ownership of the
favorites folder and how to do that, you can follow the following link.

Marie !06,

It is not possible to run a computer with only an administrator account. you
must have atleast one other account.

Depending upon your opperating system. (xp can do it).

If you are runnig under the administator account try making an account with
'EXCACTLY' the same name as the one you deleted, which had the setting you
want. Even thought it was deleted. good old windows told you porkies and
it's setting are likely to still be there.

I once gave my son a naff acount name as a joke, could i get rid of it. Not
on your nelly. Each time i deleted it and made a new one, his 'my documents'
directory was called 'Old Fart Face'. That cost me a total rebuild of the
computer in the end. ( who had the last laugh).

It is also possible to transfer the setting from the admin account to the
new user if you need to. no more now but reply if you need more help.

And remember don't logit if you don't mean it. Computers don't forgive, EVER.

Good luck.

I want to actual administrator but delete the account that I put a name on. I
have my email set up there too

There was an administrator, guest (turned off) and some other limited access
account. i don't remember that name. Here is my other problem....I set my
email up there and had to call zoomtown, my internet service to figure that
out! The computer in only a month old and I am not really that computer savvy
so I don't have a clue where it was and why I can't go back. I saw with my
computer I can 'invite' a microsoft person to hook in to fix it. Is that safe?
