I am a 101 user on computer, I have read a bunch of these "fixes" but don't
understand.
I have Windows mail. I have used it for almost a year, this is the first
time this has happened. I have message locked in sent box which I can not
delete. I can receive mail fine.
it is very frustrating! thanks for any help!!!!!!!

What antivirus programs do you have, if any? Some of them tend to
cause such problems, although seldom immediately.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders such as Sent Items. Try the 32-bit version first - if it's
the wrong one for your version of Windows, it will just refuse to
install. If this happens, try again with the 64-bit version. Certain
common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or
McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such problems,
although seldom immediately, so if you have such a program,
remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again.

If this looks too hard for you, find a friend more familiar with
computers.
