Apparently, the XP SP2 update file on one of my computer was corrupted
during download, and it thrashes endlessly trying to install the update.
Each reboot starts the install process over, but the install doesn't make
any progress. How do I delete a corrupted update file and start over?

Best,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for your posting here.

I would like to suggest that you download the SP2 network installation
package from the following web site.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=049c9dbe-3b8e-4f30-
8245-9e368d3cdb5a&displaylang=en

Then try to install SP2 from local computer again.

Wish it helps.
