Deleteing files on a network

When I'm on a network drive using Windows Explorer and I
delete something it does not end up in the recycle bin on
either the networked machine or the local machine. Do you
know if it is placed somewhere else or is it gone?

If there are no special (third-party) software on server then You lost it
 
That's what I thought, Thanks for backups! I just didn't
want to go down that path if I didn't have to. Thanks
