Hi

In my Windows dir I have found 5 .exe files that should
not be there. Which I have tried to delete, but with no
success so far because every time I delete them the reaper
in my Windows directory a few second after deletion, as
well as in my Recycling Bin. Any suggestion is welcomed
.....

thx

if they reappear automagically then something thinks they should be there.
why do you think they shouldn't be? exactly what are the files? do you run
an up to date virus scanner, adware and spyware scanner? what do they say??

The virus scanner reports no viruses these files have
names like .twunk_16.exe & twunk_32.exe

And if I try to run them the command prompt simply flashes.

What are the names of the files and how do you know they should not be
there?

Thes are legitimate Windows apps which allow for communication between 16-bit
and 32-bit data sources. Their most common use is with scanners. See here for
further info http://www.pca.com.gr/ts/twain1/chapb.html

When I go to propertys the company name is not Microsoft
but Twain Working Group and they where not there a while
back.

they are commonly installed by video and picture capture applications, i

Those files are connected with scanners and afaik, are harmless. Leave
them.

Stop messing around with your computer before you break it. Those files are
important to the operating system. It is because of people like you that
Microsoft has started using "file protection". Otherwise you would shoot
yourself in the foot on a daily basis!

MS often does NOT let you remove files that will phark your system. It's
a safeguard for newbies.

Those are system components - associated with the TWAIN interface to
graphic devices like scanners and camera. They are not programs that
you run, but ones that the system runs when needed. As such they are
protected files, and when you try to delete them the system is promptly
putting new copies back. Leave well alone
