Deleted Unwanted Files from DOS

I have installed Windows XP on to my computer, but the
first installation was corrupt and I could not use the
ASR. I have re-installed XP but would like to know how to
delete the corrupt version of Windows XP from the C Drive.
Can anyone help

If you repartitioned during the install, the old one is
gone. If not, I *believe* it was overwritten. If you
don't have important information, reinstall Windows, but
this time repartition the drive. It WILL wipe the old one
away. From DOS??
