deleted members returning to distrubution list

I have an employee who claims that entries on her outlook
2002 distribution list sometimes return, even though they
have been deleted. Has anybody else experienced this, or
is it simply user error.
 
Are you running Exchange 2000/2003? Native or Mixed Mode?

I have seen this happen when a contact or user is mail-disabled but they
still have the Distribution Group listed in the MemberOf tab. I have just
removed the group from this and it solved the problem?
 
Are you removing the user from the distribution list or removing the
distribution list from the user?
