Deleted Mail folder is always empty

When I delete message in Windows mail, it immediately is deleted and not
trasnferred to the appropriate Deleted folder. Any ideas? Thanks

They may be hidden because they are already read.

Click on Deleted Items, then View, then Current View, then Show All
Messages.
