Deleted Folders return - Win XP Pro

I tried to log on to my domain, and got the error that my disk was full and
that Windows would log me on to a default profile - I accepted and logged in.
I immediately deleted two personal folders from my c:\ drive that amounted
to +- 10 gigs. As an added bonus I did a disk cleanup and defragged the
drive. I logged off and then relogged in hoping to get back into my own
profile. No such luck, I got the error again saying not enough space on my
disk. So I accepted the default profile and went back to check for some more
space. Windows had smartly replaced both of the folders that I had deleted.
Can anyone help me with this one, I really do not want to blow away this
installation, I have made too many adjustments to get it where it is.
