windows xp media center edition
AVG 8.0
ad aware, spybot
router connect
I can not update Rollup 2 for windows Media Center Ed. 2005 when trying to it gives me a error messenge saying. Failed check C:\windows\KB914548.Log, what should I do?
 
A user or 3rd party application may have changed the Ident valuee in registry. To change it to the correct value

Open "REGEDIT" and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center
Change the Registry value data for Ident to 4.0 . Reboot your machine and the update should work fine
