Hi!K!
Why are you wanting to delete? update all your drivers as well as
windows xp.XP is far far better than 98.
Still if you are not satified with xp (which is the most unfortunate)
and you have only XP in your system then enter the BIOS make the 1st
booting preference as floppy drive save the changes and restart the
machine with 98 SE set up disk/booting floppy:-

Now:-
@ the A:> type "fdisk" and press the enter key.you should then be asked
"do you wish to enable large disk support (Y/N).........?[Y]" press the
enter key.@the next screen enter option 3. Delete partition or Logical
DOS drive. Next screen choose 4. Delete NON-DOS Partition. After the
partition has been removed return to the FDISK menue and choose option
1. Create DOS Patrtition or Logical DOS Drive. next screen choose option
1. Create primary DOS Partition. follow the rest of the steps to create
a FAT32 partition. once done you will be able to use the format utility.
once formated you can load any version of WINDOWS you like.
And if you have upgraded from Win 98 SE to XP
then follow this link:-
http://www.petri.co.il/uninstall_xp.htm

But I am again requesting you to think twice before uninstalling it.XP
is one of the most fascinating OS.

If you upgraded to XP from Windows 98/Me and elected to save the files to
uninstall back to the original system state, look in Start. My Computer.
Add/Remove for the option to uninstall XP.
Otherwise, see the link below for other options.
Click on or copy and paste the link below into your web browser address box.

Greetings --

If you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup the
old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, then all
you need do is boot into Safe Mode and Start > Control Panel >
Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions _must_ be met for the
uninstall option to be available.
