I created a user account on my computer and now would
like to get rid of that account. Unfortunately when I
open up User Accounts in the control panel I don't see a
button which says "Delete User Account" anywhere. I
downloaded the Service Pack 1 on Windows XP Pro and still
nothing. Any thoughts

You should be able to remove this account by opening Control Panel -->
Administrative Tools --> Computer Management -->Local Users and Groups -->
Users, then delete the user that way

Hope this helps

have you clicked on the icon for the account you want to delete? Another
range of options appear when you do, including "delete this account"

Choose the user account, then you'll have the option to delete it in the
next menu/screen.

Even though I had not asked the question. I did find it
VERU useful to me as well. Thanks for taking the time to
share your knowledge.

sincerely
