I want to remove an underline. Ctl U doesn't work as it is not a normal
underline. I set it up by pressing 3 hyphens and then hitting return

You can prevent this from happening in the future by:

Tools | Autocorrect Options | Autoformat as you type | deselect Border Lines.

That doesn't answer the question and the same information in the link
provided earlier by me and Stefan Blom. What was your point?

My point? Well now, my point was I was trying to be helpful to someone. I
knew it didn't answer the question posed, but I thought it was helpful to
someone who may not have had time to read the article.

You'll pardon my asking but who whizzed in your cornflakes this morning???

You.

If you didn't think the person had time to read the article that: a)
answered the question and b) informed them how to prevent the problem
in the first place, then why didn't you answer the question in your own
way and then provide the additional information?

The "What was your point?" question was, I think, rhetorical and meant
to be subtle. I'll be blunt.

I can think of only two reasons. a) You didn't know the answer (which
I suspect that you did know) or 2) You are posting unnecessarily in a
thread already answered a quest for more letters after your name.

Now if it is OK with you I drop this little spat or move it offline.
