Delete Text In Email

I am getting a strange error at the bottom of a new message when I try to
delete text from an email. I am highlighting a block of text and then
hitting the delete key...then a message pops up at the bottom of the message
on the tool bar that says "Block Delete" No Yes. I can't toggle between
yes or no and I can't delete the text either????

Never seen anything like this. What version of Outlook are you using? Is
this an incoming or outgoing message? What message format?
