Delete Text Confirmation Box

When I highlight a section of text in a normal document,
either one word or several lines, and press delete, or
select delete, I get a confirmation box on the screen
asking me to confirm that I really want to delete the
text. How do I disable this feature??

While the box is unusual, try Tools > Options > General
Uncheck both options dealing with Word Perfect.
