Cannot delete text

When I select text in Word document and press Delete key, text does not get
deleted and instead I am asked to confirm y/n to delete by pressing on key
for letter y on the keyboard in order to delete the selected text.

This is caused by WordPerfect option settings. Go to Tools>Options>General
and uncheck
"Help for WordPerfect Users" and "Navigation keys for WordPerfect Users."
