Windows stores all my previous google searches, my email
address and phone # pop up automatically when I start to
fill in the field, basically anything I've previously
entered on the web seems to be stored and I can't delete
it. Any ideas?

open the web browser. Select tools/internet options.
Select the Content tab then Autocomplete.
Hit the "clear forms" button.

It using the google toolbar there is a 'clear history'
item in a drop-down menu ON the google toolbar. Google
history is different than windows history.
