there any
other way of removing them and preventing them?
You haven't been baraged WITH them. *You* have been baraged with
CREATING them. A received e-mail can only *request* that you SEND back
a read receipt, so you left Outlook configured to always send them or it
prompts and you always say yes to send them. If read receipts are
getting stuck [hidden] in your Outbox, those are e-mails containing the
read receipt that YOU are sending. So you may be getting lots mails,
probably spam, asking for them but you chose to send those e-mails with
receipts. You continued to exascerbate the problem and now you have to
pay for the only product that can clean up Outlook without doing a fresh
reinstall and starting with a new message store. It may be possible to
avoid the reinstall by starting clean with a new .pst file. Rename and
move the old one out of your Outlook data path and let Outlook create a
new one when you next open it (it bitches that it can't find the file so
you let it create a new one).
