Delete Private Appointment

How do I delete a private appointment on a shared calendar? Right now since
the event is private I cannot access it at all. I am listed as a delegate and
have permission to edit the calendar however that does not seem to solve my
issue.

Do you have rights to see the private event? If so, what version of Outlook
do you use and does the other person use?
