Delete Outbox Messages

I hoped I could use Outlook with AOL, but no luck.
Meanwhile I have 2 unsent messages in my Outlook Outbox,
and I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete
them. I typed everything I could think of in "help" and
it was no help at all.

Try using the <shift> + <delete> keys.

I tried this but got the message "The item could not be deleted. It was
either moved or already deleted, or access was denied."

Any suggestions?

I know this sounds cliche but, have you tried rebooting
your machine?
