DELETE OR HIDE DEFAULT FOLDERS

How do you delete or hide default folders in the folder list in Outlook 2002?
I never use Calendar/Tasks/Journal/Notes and am tired of working around them.
If you try to right click and delete, the "delete" option is disabled.

You can't hide them in Outloko 2002. Outlook 2003 and up allows you to hide
them.

You could put the folders you do want to work with on the Outlook Bar as shortcuts and then never show the folder list again.

in 2003, hide the buttons for the folders you don't want to use and use the
mail folder, calendar folder view etc for the folders you want. they will
still be in the folder list view though. If you don't have a lot of folders
and use an older version, use Sue's suggestion and add the folders you want
to use to the outlook bar then close the folder list.
