delete or change existing appointment

I have Outlook 2003. Once I put an appointment into my Calendar, I cannot
change or delete it. When I try to, it will change for a few minutes, but it
always reappears or goes back to the original time. Any ideas? FYI - I sync
with an Iphone through MobileMe.

If you disable the synching do the symptoms change?
