Delete info in Discussion or guest book

I am brand new at this and have a question. I have set up
a web site using the project wizard and published on my
isp, comcast. The web site seems to work fine but i cannot
figure out how to delete messages from the discussion site
or the guest log. I have read the two articles from
Microsft Knowledge base---196126 and 240951. Every time I
try to open the web page as described in 240951 I get an
error message that says the web is unaccessible or is
password protected. I never get a dialog box asking for a
password. When I publish I get that box. What am I doing
wrong? Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Try going to your home page of your root web in IE and using File Edit w/ FP
