Delete files

I have done a scan disk. When it asks me if I wanrt to delete the files I say
yes. It goes throught the motions but nothing gets deleted. Help

If you are doing a scan disk and it is asking you if you want to delete
files - well - either something is horribly wrong or you are not doing a
scan disk.

If he's doing a scandisk, something else is wrong. There is no
scandisk in Windows XP.

True - but I have seen enough 'converted users of Win 9x' make the mistake
of calling the CHKDSK --> SCANDISK that I can pretty well ignore that typo.

I would ignore it most of the time too. But in this case he's saying
it doesn't work as he expects it to. That leads me to suspect that he
perhaps doesn't mean what you're assuming he does.
